My name is Michelle Jackson Shavers, and I was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer in November of 2011. I am proud to say that I have been cancer free since September of 2012. I am a firm believer in silver linings and the recognition of blessings, both big and small. As a daughter, sister, aunt, and niece; I knew I followed in the footsteps of strong women and that my footsteps would lead the way for others. As a wife and mother of two, I knew I would survive!
