It is that time of year again, and my heart is absolutely overflowing with excitement! Can you believe it? We are officially gearing up for the 23rd Annual Celebration of Life Cancer/Health Awareness Gala! For over two decades, Code Pink Productions Inc. has been on a mission to uplift, honor, and support those who are fighting the toughest battles of their lives. But as we prepare for this milestone year on July 26th, 2026, I am reminded of a very special part of our mission statement: the "brick."
When we talk about our mission, we often say that every single person who supports us: whether through a donation, a prayer, or a sponsorship: is a "brick" in the foundation of what we do. No building can stand without a solid base, and no nonprofit can thrive without a community that believes in its vision. Today, I am reaching out to our incredible local DFW businesses and donors to ask you to be a "brick" in our mission for 2026. We need your strength, your partnership, and your heart to make this the most impactful Gala yet!

One of the most emotional and rewarding highlights of our Annual Gala is the awarding of our scholarships. This year, we are so proud to be accepting applications for the Gloria D. Muhammad and Antoine "Tony" Watkins Scholarships! These awards are more than just financial aid; they are a legacy of love and a testament to the power of education.
We are looking for incredible DFW students who are ready to take the next step in their journey. Remember, applicants must be local to the DFW area and must be able to attend the Gala on July 26th to win! We want to celebrate these scholars in person, surrounded by the community that is rooting for them.
When you become a sponsor, you are helping us secure the funds to empower these young men and women. You are telling them that their dreams matter and that their community is willing to invest in their success. It is a true blessing to see the faces of these recipients as they realize they have a whole village standing behind them. A Weekend of Wellness and Celebration!
The Gala is the grand finale, but the energy starts much earlier! We are calling on all our fitness enthusiasts and health advocates to join us for the Annual 5K Walk/Run, held the Saturday before the Gala. This is such a fun, high-energy way to kick off our weekend of fundraising!
We want to see the DFW community out in full force: wearing your pink, smiling for the cameras, and moving for a cause! This event is a great way for local businesses to get their teams involved. Imagine your employees crossing the finish line together, knowing they’ve helped raise money for cancer awareness and local scholarships. It’s about health, it’s about unity, and it’s about showing our Warriors that we are running (and walking) right alongside them!
After we’ve broken a sweat on Saturday, we’ll clean up and get fancy for the 23rd Annual Celebration of Life Fundraising Gala on Sunday, July 26th. It’s going to be a night of inspiration, delicious food, amazing honorees, and heartfelt stories. You do NOT want to miss out!
